Jeremiah 17:9

To do what our heart tells us to do sounds lovely, but it is bad advice.

The Bible makes it clear in this verse when it defines the heart as somewhat deceitful and also perverse more than all things.

I want to explain it to you in this manner: Imagine that you have a water fountain at home of which you and your entire household depend on, but someone arrives and throws poison in it.

What would happen if you continue using it?

It would have disastrous results, wouldn’t it?

Well, the same thing happens with our heart.

The Bible says that life flows from it, however, because of sin, our heart has been infected, poisoned with anger, pain, uncertainty, lack of forgiveness, envies, pride, haughtiness, unfaithfulness, and much more.

Do we now understand why the Bible says that it is deceitful and perverse, and thus, allowing ourselves to be carried away with what is in it is harmful?

Being emotional and not being guided by God will bring us harsh consequences, but today you can make the best decision and surrender your life to Jesus and let him occupy the first place in your heart so he can heal it, clean it, and make it new.

Then, with a heart kept and guided by God you will make the best decisions of your life.

God always arrives JUST IN TIME
