Matthew 19: 16-2
To what extent are we willing to follow Christ and live as He lived?
One of the things that we can highlight about the life of Christ is the ability to love people to the point of giving without expecting anything in return. Jesus never gave thinking about what he was going to stop having, he was detached in everything, indeed, he did not even have being equal to God as a thing to cling to.
The Bible tells us about a young man who wanted heaven but to have his heart on earth, that is, he wanted to love God and deserve eternal life but was not willing to detach himself of all the material he had, he showed that his love was stronger to earthly goods than to enter the kingdom of heaven.
Today we should reflect on what is the place that the earthly is occupying in our life? Are we grateful with what we have or are we still dissatisfied not enjoying what the Lord has given us today?
The material comes and goes, but the eternal remains.
