Luke 6: 46-49
Calling God Lord, Lord is not enough if we are willing to live for him and do his will.
God always wants the best for us but we are not willing to allow ourselves to be guided, God’s words are the best advice we may need to live in victory, understanding that in this life we will have to face many afflictions and situations and that only from his hand will we come out victorious.
We like to be in control of situations and it happens to us that even if we call God Lord, we refuse to obey his voice by doing what we consider to be good in our opinion.
That is why Jesus speaks strongly to those who followed him: do not call me Lord when you are not willing to do what I tell you.
Accepting Christ as our savior is easy, the hardest thing is being willing to submit to his will, but that’s where we need to go.
May God be our savior but may he also be your lord.
