You were running a good race. Who stopped you from following the true way? This change did not come from the One who chose you. Be careful! “Just a little yeast makes the whole batch of dough rise.”

Galatians 5:7-9 NCV

Life has roads which appear to be the correct ones, but they are not, because at the end of them, destruction and death awaits. Everything that strays us from having our focus on God brings doom. Many times, doom may seem enjoyable to your eyes, showing you shortcuts, which promise a better life, but: Be careful! It’s only an illusion, a lie that will take you to disastrous consequences.

Like human beings, we like the easy life, which does not hurt us or which does not demand major efforts. We discard the suffering option and we choose the option which makes us feel good. But which is its end? Perhaps, today you say you feel fine the way you decided to live your life; that the “shortcut” called money, promiscuity, religion, alcoholism, etc. has made you happy and you don’t need God or return to the true road. Perhaps you say you didn’t come to this world to suffer and you deserve to live well, but, to what cost? Are you sure the path you chose is going to take you to eternity?

This happened to the church in Galatia and this is why the apostle Paul wrote to them insistently, about not straying from the truth, although it may appear good.

Today, you could be seeing things, persons, or situations which are a momentarily distraction, which lead you to lose rather than to win. They rob you of your time and happiness to the point that, when you become aware, you feel like you can’t go back and like your loss has been huge. Be careful!

Life in God is different; is not subjected to our desire, but to God’s will. Therefore, walking in it, we are troubled, sometimes it will bring pain, but all of this is necessary to accommodate us into His purpose. In this manner we are guided to the correct goal.

The desire passes away, material things do too, but the one who does the will of God will not be moved, will remain forever.

What decision will you make today? Will you go astray because it “seems” good? Always remember that if it “seems”, it doesn’t mean that it is.

God always arrives JUST IN TIME.
