JOSHUA 1:1-2 CEB
GET READY is a word that God used to tell Joshua: “I know you are going through a period of mourning. I know it is difficult, but now you must get up because I have a job for you.” God told Joshua: «Get the people ready;» this word means to “make adjustments.”
God has a promise and a promising future for you and your entire household, but you must know that there are adjustments to be made.
The people of Israel were given the promise to enter the promised land, but first, they had to sanctify and circumcise themselves. In simple words, they had to adjust.
A bad adjustment will wreak great havoc. Entering the new land with the habits and mentality we bring from Egypt will spoil the new things we will find there.
Is there something you have not dealt with which you have not adjusted in your life yet and in your relationship with God?
