1 John 4:18-19
Feeling will never give you security because it is based on an emotion, it is not the same thing as knowing; hence, to feel loved is dangerous, while to know that you are loved gives you confidence and strength.
This is why in God, we not only feel loved, but we know that we are loved, accepted, and approved.
The true love we have received from God is this: God loved us first, to love first defines the purity and grandiosity of the love because it is not subjected to reciprocity. Do you understand me?
I do not love to be loved; I love because it is my nature because I am already loved by God.
When I understand this, what I do, I do it because it is in me and not to show what I am. When, what you do is depending on what you receive, perhaps you will be disappointed or frustrated at some point if you are not reciprocated as you expected. Simply LOVE.
When you change, do not do it so others will feel good and observe how you change, do it because it is part of God’s purpose with you.
Did you already say to someone today: “I love you?”
I invite you to start and say it and do not expect the same response, just do it before others do it with you because perhaps it will not happen…
