What happiness you have when you find the right place after being lost for a long time, what happiness and rest you feel after seeing how God protected you in the most difficult moment of the crisis when you could have lost everything.

This is the same thing that David wanted to express to us by stating how the shepherd with his rod and staff produce encouragement.

The rod is an extension of the shepherd’s arm and symbolizes protection and at the same time care in correcting us of any bad decisions we make, while the staff implies direction and guidance

Let the Lord be your shepherd and protect and guide your life with his rod and staff.
